I'll guess that children aren't allowed on the chipping green (or any other practice greens). Nothing excuses a shitty attitude (especially when his request could have easily been made "pleasantly" with concern for your child. Nonetheless, he was likely pissed that he was forced to say ANYTHING since he probably wanted to just go and chip. Seeing a child playing on the green probably forced a grouchy old fella to be "social".

Actually she wasnt playing like a 3 year old normally does. She was putting with her club. I cant say she was practicing because she's 3 but she wasnt just running around "playing". And as he walked up I had already called her to come to me. So he wasnt waiting for her to move at all, by the time he dropped his balls to chip she was by me, I felt he was just trying to be a dick. But as VP said that was my perception.
