I will give you a short synopsis of the Blue Jeans operating principle. I don't know how many of you are hard core audiophiles, but premium cables can cost ungodly money. I have seen a single 1 meter RCA cord that was $33,000. There are probably over 30 companies making RCAs more than 10k dollars per meter and speaker cable that is similar in price at the 8 foot pair mark. Most of these companies make fanciful claims based on pseudo science that when combined with a knowledge of their price cause their owners to hear amazing things. What most do is basically become an in line equalizer to the signal. Of course this sound is different and given the knowledge of the price, it is assumed better. Very infrequently will any of these companies give any specs, claiming you cannot measure perfection. Well, the truth says that any thing you want to know about a cable can be measured. Blue Jeans believes that a high end audio cable consists of high end cable stock (Belden in their case) with low capacitance and inductance, proper shielding, termination and quality construction. Every cable they make has an entire data sheet available as well as numerous articles and papers that help the layperson/Non-electrical engineer understand the specs. The prices are reasonable (about 30 bucks per meter) and the service is wonderful.

I approached Kurt in 2004 to help me with a project I was doing in school. Without any hesitation, he donated about 300 dollars of cable to help me out and he became an immediate friend. I have called him on numerous occasions just to talk tech and he is always more than willing to share his knowledge (his brother is an EE and has taught him a great deal) with me. Kurt and his company represents all that is good about a small American company. I would recommend their products to anyone and I hope that this matter is quickly resolved with Monster facing the bad press they deserve for trying to capitalize on a small American company.
