got a torn axle boot in the rear ..... any advice?

is it easier to get a boot and replace it, or just get a cheap used complete shaft and swap that in? I heard the boots are a real pain to replace.

the one that's torn is the right rear OUTER (close to wheel). Im trying to get UGR to gimme a rear end change ... so I guess I should wait and have them do this as well while they are back there .....?
