Yes, and no. The Viper differential was cribbed from the Grand Cherokee, Dana's troublesome Vari-Loc. It works okay in an AWD Jeep but it has a bad rep for violent tail snap in a Viper. Not to mention it will blow out the diff spider (not the ring and pinion) gears with dragstrip abuse.
The diff in a '03 and up is viewed as non-serviceable by Dodge, but Quaife builds differentials and the stock ring and pinion gears and the case have been shown 1600 hp without breaking. Your best bet to bulletproof the back end would be to have a Quaife installed with the 3.55's and maybe look to some Mark Williams halfshafts and driveshaft. No worries after that, and no need for a warranty, because it
won't break.
