Nowhere did I say that the Alley is dead or even dying. I still spend plenty of time here and still believe this to be one of the best sites on the internet. My point was only that the personal attacks and full blown resentment that some members have for one another have done nothing but diminish the quality of content that we used to see. This thread is a classic example. Gary started a thread to clear his mind (I don't know Gary personally and obviously can't speak for him or his intentions, so don't read anything into that statement), and hasn't posted again in this thread since that initial thread, yet we have 11 pages of personal crap and very little entertainment.

I have friends on both sides of many of the disputes here, and for the most part I try to remain neutral and always have. Nothing on this board or any other has ever bothered me enough to actually not like anyone personally.

And for the record, I have never moved one of my own threads to "Best Of". Other mods move threads when it is obvious that something belongs there, or a member or two point out that the thread has run its course and should be moved.
