Doug, not to steal any thunder, but have to toot my own horn as well. This is an RSI kit that I purchased, and I contracted through RSI to build the motor but everything was installed by myself.
I had originally installed just the kit on the stock motor with a larger fuel system. I did all fabrication and installation necessary to install this kit on the car, and had Kevin at RSI do the tune.
A few months with 750 rwhp was good, but not enough. I then had Jason get me a short block and have Greg Good port the stock heads. I reassembled the motor and added an AEM along with larger injectors and a cam. The results were good, made about 850 rwhp pump on 8 1/2 lbs and 1122 rwhp race gas on 14 1/2 lbs. About 600 miles later, unfortunately a small problem developed with the motor. The motor was built by LME and Brian @ LME took great care of me, he did not dispute any issues and stepped up to the plate to resolve the issue. The motor was just put back in the car before this event.
Justin @ Tuning concepts was contracted by me for both tunes, he did a wonderful job and the second time around the car made 882 rwhp on the same 8 1/2 lbs of boost, I have yet to do the race gas tune yet as I wanted it done before the tx2k8.
Justin will be returning to help out to get the race gas tune done soon. With what the motor picked up on pump gas and the same boost, I hope I get the same gains with race gas.
I am extremely pleased with the kit and all the people that helped, Tony, Jason and Kevin made it possible for me to do this entire build at my house. Yes the lift I installed helped as much as they did
